My journey in medicine began in 1990, graduating from the prestigious University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. Since then, for the past 30 years, I've had the privilege of serving as a general medical practitioner. It's been a rewarding experience, building a career on the foundation of helping others. Being a general practitioner has allowed me to develop a broad skillset. I've seen a wide range of patients and conditions, which has given me a deep understanding of primary care. Over the years, I've kept myself updated with the latest advancements in the field, ensuring I can offer my patients the most effective treatments available. But medicine, for me, goes beyond just diagnoses and prescriptions. It's about building trust with my patients, creating a safe space where open communication thrives. This patient-centered approach allows me to not only treat their medical needs but also provide the emotional support and guidance they need during difficult times. The field of medicine has seen incredible changes throughout my career. I've embraced these advancements, constantly learning and adapting my practice to offer the best possible care.
