About Liesl Townsend

Liesl is a Social Worker registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions. She started her career in 1988 and worked as a Social Worker and Probation Officer for the Department of Health and Welfare. She was first introduced to EAP in 1999 at FAMSA (Family and Marriage Society of SA) in her role as a counsellor and affiliate to EAP Companies. Since then, she has managed her own EAP Consultancy, has worked as a Client Relations Consultant and is currently a Senior Client Relationship Manager at Metropolitan Health Corporate (MHC). Her role includes the management of client SLA’s, the development and implementation of client strategic plans as well as identifying and sourcing new business opportunities. Liesl is a certified Leadershape Life Coach and views challenges as opportunities to grow. She has broad EAP generalist and specialist skills that have been acquired through her cross functional project experience.
